I’m Interested in Biblical Counselling – Where Do I Begin?

Does this sound familiar? When you face the difficulties of life- as we all do- you tend to try muddle through on your own (with or without consciously asking for God’s help). Sometimes you’re successful. At other times, you find yourself simply spinning your wheels, so you look for someone who can help you process your struggles.
 
Historically, there has been a negative stigma about counselling. I often tell people that biblical counselling is much like a conversation with a wise and loving friend. And while we’ve seen a significant change in the stigma associated with counselling over the years, I think much of the anxiety that still exists about going for counselling stems from what is unknown about the process. In order to help lessen that trepidation, I’d like to let you know how to get started!
