I’m sitting here at my desk wondering what to highlight this month and I found myself asking: why don’t you pray about it?

So, I stopped staring at my screen and prayed, asking God to help in this seemingly small task. Included was a prayer for forgiveness for how often I go about my day not living in active dependence upon Him.

We are needy people, but if you are anything like me, you also don’t like admitting your neediness. Truth is, we need God, in whom we live, move and exist (Acts 17:28). We also need each other: growth and maturity in the Body of Christ comes when each member is doing his or her part.

Prayer is a necessary aspect of Body life. For this reason we put out a monthly prayer calendar- will you pray along with us? If you would, I would love for you to pray right now- then send me an email (glen@seekinsight.ca) letting me know that you prayed, perhaps including what you prayed for…or even write out the prayer and send it to me. This would be a huge encouragement! I will certainly pass along this encouragement to the staff and board.

Allow me to highlight three other ways you and your church can support Insight:

Church Assistance Program
Since Insight is not a charity, churches cannot donate to Insight to support our clients. However, they can offer to pay for services rendered to the members of their church through the CAP- the Church Assistance Program. Churches can support you and your fellow brothers and sisters by paying for a set number of counselling sessions each year. This helps Insight tremendously as only 2/3 of counselling sessions are billed out at full price. As a ministry, we are always willing to work within our client’s budgets, and thus offer reduced rates for clients who genuinely cannot afford the fee. This amounted to a $55K loss of potential revenue last year. Your church can help bridge that gap through the CAP.

Please pray for the planning of the E4:12 Conference- Marriage: A Beautiful Mystery. Mark Nov 15-16 on your calendar and plan to attend (more details below). In this, too, your church has the opportunity to support Insight financially by purchasing a church ticket, which will enable you and your fellow members to attend free of charge.
