December 2024 Insights

Well, the annual E4:12 Conference has come and gone- and what an amazing event! Some 475 people came out for the weekend. With so many guests I honestly was worried about how to manage lunch for everyone, but our team of volunteers was amazing- as was the food! I know I was richly blessed by the teaching and the worship. In several circumstances since this event I have found myself coming back to Ephesians 5:25-29, reflecting on and marveling at the glorious reality of what Christ has done for me.

If you missed the conference, you have two options to catch up: view the event online on our YouTube channel or plan to sign up for the February conference in Brantford as we present the same material there (see details below). Thanks again to the 21 churches who purchased a church ticket and encouraged their members to attend- we are so encouraged by your support.

Also coming up is our Valentine’s Trivia Night fundraiser (Friday, February 14). I’ve heard that some folks have already been putting their mastermind tables together! We have a few fun new additions this year, so plan to join us with your table of 8. More details to come next month.

But first, Christmas. I know that for some- perhaps many- of you, Christmastime with family events and songs about comfort and joy and peace on earth is a painful time, not one of joyous anticipation and celebration. My heart goes out to you. My prayer for you- and me- is that we, together with all the saints, would be able to comprehend what is the breadth and length and height and depth of the love of the One who came to earth to abide with us: Immanuel.
