January 2026 Insights

The end of a year is always a time for reflection, isn’t it? What a year it has been for Insight! Mark and Sara joined our counselling staff as Gail retired in the early spring. Then we hired Michelle in the summer to step into the role of Administrative Assistant, as Valerie prepared to retire. As many of you know, Marija, our Development Director, sustained a severe concussion at the end of January and has been in recovery since April. We hired Celena in the summer to fill in in her absence. Then in September, Scott suffered a heart attack; we are grateful to the Lord for sustaining his life and that he was able to return to work last month!

Through it all, the Lord has proven His faithfulness! The ministry continues to grow. We conducted close to 2200 counseling appointments in 2025. The number of counselling appointments held in our satellite offices in Burlington and Flamborough tripled last year compared to 2024.

Insight’s counsellors were involved with 10 speaking engagements last year, and we ran two E4:12 Conferences, one a repeat of the 2024 conference that was held in Brantford in the early spring. Our annual conference in November was attended by some 230 people: I continue to receive positive feedback about the talks from this event. (Find the recordings on our YouTube channel!) We also saw 3 students complete their CCEF certificates- congratulations Val, Christine and Shona!

Through each seminar and each conversation, we see God moving his Kingdom forward.

Join us for a night of fun, food, fellowship & fundraising for Insight! Table Teams will compete to answer trivia questions, brain teasers, and riddles with chances to win prizes. Desserts, snacks & refreshments will also be served. No cost to attend, but reservations are required. A free will offering will be taken in support of Insight Biblical Counselling. Registration opens January 10! Watch your inbox and our socials for the link to register!

nsight is looking for a few more individuals to join a Management Committee commissioned to help develop relationships with churches and donors in the Burlington-Brantford-Cambridge area. Our desire is to grow the biblical counselling ministry of our satellite offices to the point where we can launch an independent counselling centre. If you are interested, please contact Glen (glen@seekinsight.ca).

Many thanks to all of our supports who continue to pray for our counsellees and staff. Thanks to many of you for giving the gift of hope to struggling people. Your financial contributions provided the more than $36,000 needed to provide biblical counselling to counsellees who could not afford to pay. Another $33,000 to top up counselling fees for sessions offered at reduced rates. On behalf of the recipients of your generosity- thank you! If you’ve been blessed by the ministry this year, I would love for you to send me a short note expressing how God has used Insight in your life. Would you send me a brief email? (glen@seekinsight.ca) Your testimony may be used by God to encourage others to find hope and healing in Him.

Happy New Year to all!

Give the gift of hope by subsidizing counselling sessions for those in need. Make a donation to Insight here.
