June 2025 Insights

I am super excited about this weekend! Our annual Sweet & Savoury event is on this Friday, and seats have been filling up. Aside from our monthly insights, this is our main opportunity to connect with supporters and share what God has been up to in the past year of ministry work at Insight. I hope to see many of you there.

The Sweet & Savoury is also our biggest annual fundraiser. This year, we are in need of significant financial support. Demand for biblical counselling continues to grow. We hired three new counsellors this year, and our waitlist for counselling never clears up. Our annual budget for 2025 is just over a half-million dollars. To date, we are operating at a $50K deficit.

If you are unable to attend the fundraiser this Friday, would you consider giving to Insight at this time so the men, women and children who come to us can continue to receive the hope of the gospel through biblical counselling?

Perhaps you are in a position to become a monthly donor. We would appreciate the ongoing financial support to offset growing monthly deficits. We certainly appreciate our many monthly donors who give to support clients who are receiving counselling services at a discounted price.

We also greatly appreciate your prayers for the ministry, both for our clients and our staff, as well as your notes of encouragement. We are grateful for the many individuals and churches who continue to intercede for us.

Last call to RSVP for our annual Sweet & Savoury Fundraiser taking place this Friday, June 6th at The Shed Out back in St. Ann’s! Come and enjoy delectable desserts and charcuterie as we raise funds for the growing need of Biblical Counselling in our community. You will be encouraged and inspired as you hear testimonies of the amazing work God is doing in the hearts of people seeking His redirection in their lives. Insight is committed to keeping counselling fee’s affordable and helping individuals, couples and families regardless of financial constraints. Your financial support makes this possible! Registration is free however an RSVP is required and a free will offering will be taken the evening of the fundraiser. We look forward to having you join us!

This month comes with a turning of the page for us at Insight: Valerie is retiring! We are excited with her and for her about opportunities that God will open up for her to continue serving in His Kingdom in other capacities- which is her heart’s desire.

At the same time we know she will be sorely missed. She has been the smiling face that has greeted so many individuals over the years (12+ years!). Valerie is a gentle and kind woman who always makes clients and visitors welcome through her cheery disposition and genuine interest in getting to know people. She has been quick to lend a hand with whatever tasks need completing, and has been active in the planning and executions of events for Insight since we opened. Her last day with us will be June 27- warm wishes can be emailed to her (valerie@seekinsight.ca).

At the same time we welcome to our team Michelle Sypkes. Michelle began with us mid-May. Although much of those first few days felt like drinking from a fire hose, she is a fast learner and is fitting right in as Administrative Assistant.
