Marriage: A Beautiful Mystery…I’m writing in the wake of the conference held in Brantford this weekend. God was certainly on the move there! There were times when the 230+ in attendance sat silently in rapt attention as the speakers shared about the glories of God reflected in our earthly marriages. The Lord was certainly challenging us all to “Look up!” to Him, our Heavenly Bridegroom, who longs to be in relationship with us. Many thank to Living Water URC and their team of volunteers who helped make this weekend such a success. Recordings from the same conference held last November are available on out YouTube channel.

In other exciting news, we’ve hired a new male counsellor! Mark Soppitt joined our team this past month on a part-time basis, and we are already beginning to fill his schedule. Read on for a fuller introduction to Mark.

n other staffing news, Gail DeGiovanni is retiring from her position as Biblical Counselling Group Coordinator this month. I have worked with Gail- here at Insight and formerly at Elisha House- since October of 2013. Over the last decade I’ve grown to know and appreciate her gentle spirit and her wise love; my wife, Rebecca, and I have also enjoyed a personal friendship with Gail and her husband John. Gail has led numerous groups over the years, serving and loving on scores of clients who’ve laughed, cried, processed and been encouraged under her tutelage as she facilitated the groups. Though she will be missed here, Gail will continue on in her ministry roles at Forestview Community Church as well as in her home and family. May the Lord richly bless you in this next season of life, Gail!
Many thanks to all who came out to the 8th annual Valentine’s Trivia Night fundraiser! Some 150 people competed in trivia, puzzles and other activities, while enjoying a fun evening of food and camaraderie. Donations for this event totalled $7285- thank you!

Later this month the staff will enjoy some professional development together as we head to Oakville to take in the Canadian Biblical Counseling Coalition’s annual conference. This year, the conference is entitled Identity. Please pray for the CBCC and the speakers as they prepare for this event, and also that God would use this opportunity for our staff to learn and grow together.
For those readers with school-aged children: enjoy your March Break!
