Grace and peace to you all!

Your ongoing financial support has provided counselling for over 400 individuals and couples so far this year! Our staff have listened to their stories, prayed with them and shared the hope of the gospel. We are grateful for your partnership in this work.

Please continue to pray for Scott who is still in hospital following a heart attack. He had 2 stents put in a week ago, and is on the mend, although further procedures may be necessary. Also, continued prayers for healing for Marija who is still struggling with the effects of her concussion.

Don’t forget to sign up for our E4:12 Conference- Knowing and Being Known! Encourage your pastors, their wives and church leaders to come out to the Shepherds Connect pre-conference and dinner. This is an opportunity to unwind a bit and be ministered to! Please pray for energy for the staff and volunteers tending to all the last minute tasks.

We’re grateful for the following wonderful opportunities God opened for our team to minister to communities this month:

• OCT 23 | 🍎 Compass Reformed Educator’s Convention: Andrea (keynote speaker) and Lynn both presented  talks for educators, speaking on Resilience and Trauma, respectively.
• OCT 25 | ⛪ First Baptist Church: Glen presented a seminar on “Uprooting Anger” for a Bible study group.
• OCT 29 | 💬 Theology on the Ground: Sara and Glen spoke as part of a panel regarding “Shame and the Gospel” at Redemption Canadian Reformed Church in Flamborough at their monthly event.

Through this year’s theme, Knowing and Being Known: Intimacy with God and Others, we will explore the wonder of not only being able to truly know the God of heaven and earth, but also the wonder that we are deeply known by Him. This vertical relationship profoundly impacts how we do relationships, providing us with the safety we need to be vulnerable in sharing our very hearts with others.

Pastors, Ministry Leaders and their spouses are invited to attend our E4:12 Shepherds Connect pre-conference event with guest speaker Paul Tautges. Paul will encourage leaders to learn how to rest in the sufficiency of Christ. 

Please note tickets must be purchased separately from the church tickets but there is dinner included in this pre-conference event.
